How it would all work anatomically.

Maybe be creepy if you don't like drawings of weird skeletons )

This was passed along to me by Z, and it's so creepy cool, I had to share.

May be disturbing if you don't like creepy skeletons )

I love this concept but I'm not in love with the design.

Pffft. I know I only have to wait and some day someone will do a smoking angel tee.

Don't know why Jungle Book references have been popping up in my stuff lately, but it's all public domain, and I just found a full text link to one of my favorite chapters, Rikki-tikki-tavi. (I was googling to make sure I had the spelling right.)

If you write, this stuff is really worth reading (or re-reading). Kipling had a rare gift to make things very simple but still evocative. I'd pay Skwisgaar's million billion dollars to be able to write that way.

So, Lucifer is a character in this AU. Because, I can't come up with my own characters, so I have to steal them.

Anyway, everybody hates Lucifer, not because he's eeeeevil, but because he's KIND OF A DICK.

And one of the things I did to make make him (to my mind) kind of a dick was I said that he came up with his own "Morningstar" nickname.

OK, so check out this article about the painter Thomas Kinkade. And I'm talking about this quote:

But financial challenges aside, Kinkade's artwork continues to sell. He is, after all, the "Painter of Light" — he came up with the nickname himself.

I'm not saying Kinkade is Satan. Or even necessarily a dick. (If you read the article, it sounds like a lot of gallery owners have accused him of fraud.) It's just ... weird.
