FYI

Just an FYI, this week I'm trying a new thing where I post shorter chapters. It makes the editing a LOT easier. I'm also hoping this means I'll get new stuff up more often than once a week. I wanna keep writing, because the characters are still arguing with each other in my brain, but right now I really have to make sure I'm impressive on my new job, because I utilize my salary to buy cute shoes.

Since, in reality, there's ONLY THREE OF YOU STILL READING (plus Sushi when the poor thing is not on her deathbed), if this sucks, let me know.

The length of the chapters don't matter to me at all, it's the plot that counts. Me, I would sincerely love to sit at home and write fanfic all day long, but RL bit me in the ass and got lockjaw. I usually end up falling asleep at the keyboard, which is why I'm not as productive a writer as I should be. So please, make every effort to impress the people at your job, I totally understand where you're coming from.

To make a long story short, I'm going with: Not Suck.

I wish I was AWESOME like my husband - when he wants to write a book, besides his 120-hour-a-week-job, he'll just GO WITHOUT SLEEP FOR THREE MONTHS. OK, I am exaggerating, but only slightly.

That said, I'd like to see more of your stuff though. It makes me smiley. :D

I tend to post my stuff to different comms, just for variety. I don't know how many comms you're on, but did you need a master list of what I've posted? Or should I just send you the files in an email and cut out the middleman?

Oh, yeah, that would be spiffy! I think I'm technically signed up for most of the comms, but I usually can only keep up with CLDK and sometimes BB (thought not this month).

My email is tikistitch at gmail if you wanna do it that way.

Keen!

For simplicity's sake, I'll send each story in a separate email. Then you can sort and read to your heart's content.

Whatever works! It's usually really easy for me to grab stuff from gmail to read on my iPad.

The length is fine by me, it is still great content! I'm with ya on the job thing. My problem is I get these entertaining ideas while I'm at work, but I can't write any of it down and by the time I get home I'm too out of it to get it either on paper or typed up.

Hope your new job is going great!

And even though it's shorter I really like the idea of fics more often than once a week.

I actually keep a notebook that I write in when I get an idea that won't leave me alone at work. Fortunately, I have the world's scribbliest handwriting, so I doubt anybody else could see that I'm not actually taking notes on the thrilling new org chart updates.

But, yeah, then I still have the deal of getting home and turning into a zombie. BRAIIIINNNNSSS!

Yeah, I'm not around paper where I can write stuff down. If I try to carry a notebook it either gets wet or stolen and destroyed (I have an interesting work environment). I thought about getting a voice recorder a la Nathan but then there's the getting it wet issue. I've actually taken to writing stuff on my arms, usually just little quick notes, it makes my co-workers laugh riotously.

What do you do in your job? I sit on my ass in front of a computer. And squint at data.

I so wanna little voice recorder like Nathan! So I can go, "And that happens forever."

I'm a zoo keeper, with monkeys. They frequently pick my pockets, very annoying. :) I really liked the chapters with the trial and the monkeys, I share Nathan's sentiments, MONKEYS ARE AWESOME!!!!

I'm getting better! Not up to commenting yet, but I've been catching up. Poor Ganesh, having to eat fish. I do it sometimes, too, but I always feel guilty after. SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ANGELS INSIST ON HAVING SEX, SARIEL? GANESH HAS TO EAT FISH, AND RAZIEL HAS PSYCHOTIC BAD SEED TWINS!

Poor Ganesh, having to eat fish

That was actually my single favorite scene from the Vast Wretched Wasteland that was Chapter 33. I dunno what happened - probably 'cause it's the first chapter I started since I changed my job - but I prolly should've taken a week off. My advice? If you're stuck there, just read the first couple scenes, and the last couple scenes, and skip ahead to this arc, which I suspect you'll enjoy. No, you will enjoy it.

And as for Ganesh, well, remember, this is the first LTR in his life (with a greedy-ass angel to boot), besides inheriting the Lord of Destruction title, so he's having to make some adjustments.

Whatever works for you is great! I am a naughty bad reader and am not commenting like I should; my excuse is 5 people and one computer, but it's not much of one. I do most of my reading on my phone, but when I comment it likes to cut them off and I can't see what I'm typing. Rest assured though, I am still reading and loving every bit, and intend to go back and get caught up when I have a chance.

Seriously, I admire anyone who can consistently come up with a story, but bow to your skills that you have the job you do and then can come home and do this - and you write the Interstitial on your lunchhour?! o_O I'm gobsmacked.

And now there's more than three people who've answered this, so I know you've got more than three readers. They're just shy maybe...

What I meant was, there's not tons and tons of people reading, and Z kinda wanted stuff up more often, and I'd also gotten feedback in the past that my super-long chapters were delaying dinners and whatnot.

Regarding the evil that is Chapter 33: that was the worst experience of my life grinding that one out. It's got a couple of cute bits, but I really think at some point I'm gonna just go hit it in the head with a hammer and bury it in the back yard. If you get stuck, read the first couple sections, and skip to the last couple sections, and then skip ahead to 34. Really, you won't miss much.

And, yeah, the interstitials: this is probably not of much interest to anyone besides myself, but the chapters, I tend to take at least a month from start to finish to get them out, so I'm going over them over and over and over and over. So, the Interstitials are this little weird free association thing I do. I realize this is not what a "professional writer" would do, but I'm like, eh. :D
