Charles peeked around the corner. "All clear," he whispered. He grabbed Toki by the elbow and escorted the young guitarist down the hall on tiptoe. He gingerly opened the door to his bedroom, and they slipped inside, pulling the door shut behind.

"Hrrrm," mused a small sculpture of a red octopus, which, oddly, hadn't been in the hallway the day before.

"I caught yoo!" Pickles announced moments later, as he suddenly appeared in Charles' bedroom.

"You can't tell anyone of this!" Charles pleaded. "About us!"

"You shoulda nots ams be emsbareassed, Charle!" Toki protested.

"I'd never hear the end of it!" Charles wailed. "Please promised you won't tell Ganesh."

"I dunno, dood, dis is pretty incriminatin'"

"I ams not shamed! I ams proud!" Toki insisted.

"It's not my fault! I got addicted! I didn't know what I was getting into!" Charles wept.

"I won't spill da beans," Pickles laughed. "But, on one condition dood!"

"What?"

"Dat yoo make me one!" Pickles said, holding up the attractive red scarf that Charles was knitting. "In royal blue!"

"Huh? You sure about that?"

"Wut, dood?"

"I gotta kelly green that would match your eyes," Charles told him, digging in his knitting bag.

"Oh! Maybes da forests greens!" Toki agreed, grabbing some lightweight acrylic. And they both held up their yarn samples to better gauge their attractiveness as a fashion accoutrement for the Dethklok drummer.

Toki, you're still an enabler, feeding Charles's knitting addiction like that! First the clown, now this! Next thing you know, Charles is gonna run around the place yelling, "I'm Charles Offdensen, the manager of Dethklok! I do intarsia!"

And the jig is up when Pickles shows up at band rehearsal wearing argyle socks. Nothing but argyle socks. :D

"LOTS of intarsia!"

(I don't even know what that is, I'm just copying you.)

I tried intarsia. That shit is hard if you dont get a pre-cut kit! Love the look of it but dont have the patience for it. I would die if Charles picked it up!

I think Charles could do it, but he'd need a pattern. I think Raziel would be very creative, but she's sort of the ADD angel, so she'd get mixed up and lose interest.

I resemble that remark about Raziel. I don't even want to count how many partially done projects I have lying around.

You wanna know the depths of MY shame? You know what amigurumi are, these projects that LITTLE KIDS do? Yeah. That. The yarn and crochet hooks are sprawled on the coffee table right now, scowling at me. *sighs*

Most of my crochet projects get half done and are then claimed by the kitties. I've got a half dozen or so half afghans lying around. Kitties certainly complicate crafts! (they're worth it though)

Intarsia is a style of knitting that has a lot of colors and very intricate patterns.

I didn't know about it being a knitting thing. I more familiar with the wood working kind. *hangs head in shame*

I had no idea it was a wood working style as well. I wouldn't mind giving that a try.
